# AI Citation Share

The fraction of AI-generated answers in your category that cite your domain.

Citation share is the AI-era equivalent of share of voice. You measure it by querying representative prompts across each engine, recording which sources are cited in the response, and aggregating over time. A high citation share means your content is being treated as authoritative. A low one - even with high impressions - means AI engines are paraphrasing competitors instead of quoting you.
