Fact Density

How many distinct, verifiable facts a page contains per 100 words.

AI engines reward dense, well-supported pages. A high fact-density page survives chunking better, gets cited more reliably, and survives paraphrase distortion. Marketing copy is fact-thin; specs and how-tos are fact-dense.

Use cases
  • Technical DocumentationPack specifications, limits, and requirements into dense, extractable format without explanatory padding
  • Product InformationPresent features, specifications, and pricing as concentrated facts rather than marketing narrative
  • FAQ OptimizationEnsure answers deliver maximum factual content in minimum words
  • Policy DocumentationState rules, requirements, and limits directly without excessive context or justification
  • Research SummariesLead with findings, numbers, and conclusions—context can follow
  • Comparison ContentDense feature comparisons and verdicts rather than lengthy pros/cons narratives
Metrics
  • Facts Per 100 WordsCount extractable, specific facts per 100 words of content. Higher is better. Measure against baseline and top-performing content.
  • Filler Word RatioCount filler words and qualifiers as percentage of total words. Lower is better.
  • Number DensityCount specific numbers, dates, percentages per 100 words. Numbers are high-value facts.
  • Sentence Value ScorePercentage of sentences containing at least one extractable fact. Every sentence should earn its place.
  • Compression TestHow much shorter can the content be while preserving all facts? Large compression potential indicates low density.
  • AI Extraction RateWhen AI summarizes your content, what percentage of your facts appear in the summary? Higher indicates better fact prominence.
