YAML

A plain-text data format that uses indentation instead of brackets, so a person can read it and a machine can parse it.

YAML stores structured data as indented key and value pairs. For AI readability it matters because a YAML version of a page carries the page's facts with none of its layout, so a model spends its limited context on content rather than markup. Its one well-known hazard is loose typing: an unquoted no, on or 1.0 can be read as a boolean or a number rather than the text you meant, which is exactly the problem TOML and CUE were designed to remove.
