Connecting your own subdomain lets Geordy host your structured files under your brand - for example, ai.yourdomain.com/llms.txt.
Why use your own subdomain
- Files become part of your domain authority
- Better trust signals for AI systems
- Cleaner URLs for your audience
You can skip this and use Geordy's URL directly (files.geordy.ai/yourdomain.com), but your own subdomain is recommended.
How to connect
1. Pick a subdomain
Choose something clear: ai, geordy, or data.
2. Add one DNS record
A recorddns
Type: A Host: ai (or your choice) Value: 178.156.151.211
No wildcard, no CNAME, no TXT needed. Just one A record.
Heads upCloudflare: make sure the proxy (orange cloud) is OFF for this record. DNS-only mode.
3. Wait for propagation
DNS changes typically take 5-30 minutes. Sometimes up to an hour.
4. Verify it works
Open ai.yourdomain.com/llms.txt in your browser. If your file loads, you're connected.
