Add Your URLs

Learn how to add pages to Geordy using manual scanning or XML sitemap import.

Geordy begins by scanning your pages. You can do this manually or by importing your existing XML sitemap.

Manual URL Scan

Use this method if you want to test or add specific pages.

Steps

1

Go to Add URLs

Navigate to the Add URLs section in your Geordy dashboard.
2

Paste URLs

Enter one or more full URLs (e.g. https://example.com/page1).
3

Choose Priority

  • Prioritized — scanned first and refreshed more often
  • Normal — scanned according to cadence
  • Excluded — ignored in automatic runs
4

Choose Frequency (Cadence)

Select daily, weekly, or monthly refresh schedule.
5

Select File Formats

Choose which structured formats to generate for these URLs.
6

Click Scan & Generate

Your request will appear in the queue immediately.

Import from XML Sitemap

This is the recommended way to start — it automatically adds all discoverable pages.

Steps

1

Open Sitemaps

Navigate to the Sitemaps section in your Geordy workspace.
2

Paste Sitemap URL

Enter the full URL of your XML sitemap (e.g. https://example.com/sitemap.xml).
3

Click Import Sitemap

Geordy will crawl all valid entries and queue them for structured file generation.

Understanding Sitemap Status

Each import displays a status badge:

RunningImport in progress
FailedCouldn't access or parse the file (check for 404 or blocked access)
